Senior Producer

About the job

​

9th Floor Studios is looking for an experienced producer who has worked in the animation and TV series industry, a natural leader who can develop and manage multiple animation projects in collaboration with our various department heads. This person must also be able to nurture great customer relationships on all projects he or she is involved in.

​

Responsibilities

​

  • Participate to the bid process in collaboration with the business development team

  • Plan, schedule and budget productions, keep a comprehensive vision

  • Segment, coordinate and prioritize production stages

  • Communicate key project issues to the team and lead through open and dynamic collaboration

  • Identify and solve production issues

  • Supervise the producers and make sure they have optimal and efficient tools to work with

  • Adjust productions to meet and surpass quality targets within budget

  • Develop and nurture trust with all internal and external stakeholders

Profile

​

  • Having delivered major projects in the animated feature film or TV series industries

  • Good knowledge of the animation industry and its relevant professional trades

  • Strong management skills and knowledge

  • Attitude (positivism, excellence, human approach)

  • Several years in a project management role in animation or TV series industry

Animation Director

9th Floor Studios is looking for an experienced animation director who aims for the highest standards of quality and can lead a team towards that goal. We are looking for someone with great animation skills, up-to-date expertise, and good communication skills to nurture great stakeholder relationships on all projects he or she is involved in.

​

Responsibilities

​

  • Lead an animation team

  • Define animation and art styles based on project requirements and implement these on a daily basis through positive communication

  • Establish quality benchmarks

  • Develop and nurture trust with all internal and external stakeholders

  • Follow production to meet and surpass quality targets within budget

​

Profile

​

  • Mastery of Maya and Shotgun

  • Deep knowledge of 3D animation principles and anatomy

  • Positive and inspiring leader

  • Professional and constructive attitude under pressure

  • Excellent sense of observation

Requirements

​

  • Over 10 years in animation, video game or related media, with at least 3 years as animation director or in a similar position

3D Animator

​

9th Floor Studios is looking for exceptional applicants to be part of a team of passionate animators that will strongly contribute to the reputation of 9th Floor Studios. Our mission is to create high-quality animated characters that will compete with the industry leaders.

​

Responsibilities

​

  • Create keyframe animation from storyboards, 2D animatics and referential documents while aiming for the highest standards of quality

  • Ensure consistency from one shot to another

  • Follow the style and artistic vision established by the animation director

  • Respect deadlines and production quotas established by the coordinator and associate producer

  • Demonstrate analytical thinking to make the modifications asked by the animation direction

  • Organize his work and prepare presentation material for daily follow-ups

  • Participate actively in team meetings and launchings of future animated sequences

​

Profile

​

  • Mastery of Maya

  • Ability to analyze organic movements like height and smoothness

  • Excellent knowledge of all traditional animation techniques and character movement, a plus

  • Knowledge in visual effects, a plus

  • Capacity to interpret a storyboard, static or animated

  • Enjoy teamwork and collaboration

  • Ability to give its own creative touch for every sequence
